Geyer has been delighted to support Westpac in the review and negotiations associated with their anchor tenancy at Sydney’s Barangaroo.
The Geyer team has been working on this opportunity with Westpac for over 12 months, assisting in the negotiation of the Agreement for Lease engaging with RSH Architects related to the ongoing development of the building specifications to best support the Westpac business for the next 20 years.
Westpac is currently located in nine sites across Sydney’s CBD, and the new site will enable the Group to consolidate into two locations - its existing head office at 275 Kent Street (completed by Geyer in 2006) and the new adjacent Barangaroo building (Westpac will take 60,000 square metres in the Barangaroo building currently known as “Wharf Tower C4”).
Geyer is now working with Westpac and Lend Lease to develop the new workplace direction and solution and our role within the precinct continues with the review and critique of the proposed precinct in terms of amenity, retail, transport and the staged development of adjacent sites to support the realisation of Westpac's vision.
Geyer is also working with Westpac on their new 14,000sqm Victorian Headquarters development at 150 Collins Street in Melbourne. Both projects represent the continuation of a long standing relationship between Geyer and Westpac which extends over 15 years.
