Geyer worked with BTFG to transform their existing workplace environment to a modern, open plan environment which fully supports its people. The existing BTFG fitout no longer supported the BT brand’s business and did not reflect a modern working environment with perimeter offices, multiple workstation systems, lack of meeting spaces and no significant staff or client gathering spaces.
The new fitout aimed to maximise views and natural light for all BT people and to increase collaborative and meeting spaces to enable BT people to better interact and to provide them with a client facility of which they could be proud.
This was achieved by creating:
_informal and formal meeting zones throughout the fitout including small, medium & large meeting rooms, lounge area’s and quiet rooms.
_shared breakouts located in prime perimeter locations, close-by to the internal stair to encourage circulation and interaction between all levels.
_completely eliminating offices and establishing a benching workstation system throughout all levels.
_a dedicated half floor client meeting zone with the capability of four of the spaces to be opened into one large gathering space; a separate telepresence suite; and a large reception zone which has the capacity to provide a large breakout space through the strategic location of the reception desk and flexible seating solutions.
