BT Investment Management's (BTIM) workplace reflects understated quality, attention to detail and embodies a sense of inclusion. Flooded with natural light, the space has a robust honesty that is injected with accents of ingenuity.
The cultural objective was to improve connectivity and communications through finding reasons and places for people to come together. Shared spaces were consolidated to ensure individuals would frequent these areas and potentially bump into others in the broader community. These are positioned as three very different (in aesthetic and purpose) destinations with the aim to activate movement and thus energise the extremities of the fitout. These spaces include café/interchange areas (a social bump zone that is shared with clients), a library for reflection and focus, and a communal depot area for energised group focus. A sense of generosity, honesty and transparency is reflected in the combined reception/café zone which is adjacent to the more formal client interface zones. Vistas to the work zones are also evident from all client zones, creating one transparent space that welcomes and supports clients and employees alike.
